TORCH RELAY 2024

The Torch Relay is the first ‘kick-off’ event for the Relay for Life Malaysia before a R Day and Luminaria is held in a particular city

During the Torch Relay, volunteer runners (known as Torch Relayers) will relay the Relay Torch in turns from one checkpoint to another throughout the journey to the city where R Day and Luminaria will be held. Each checkpoint can be from 1km to 5kms apart.

Torch Relayers are welcome to sign up and choose the checkpoints that they will join in Relaying the Torch along its journey. They are also welcome to bring friends, family members or supporters to join them during their Torch Relay segment.

In 2024, there will be two Torch Relays as part of RFL Malaysia
